What a Fire Break Does
A fire break is a wide strip of ground where all the grass and brush is cut down low. When a grass fire hits that strip, it runs out of food. The flames drop, the fire slows, and firefighters get a line they can actually work from.
In dry summer grass, a fire can move faster than you can run. A good fire break is the difference between a scary afternoon and a lost barn.
Where We Cut Them

Steep, rocky, overgrown ground is our normal. All of our cutting line and ground gear is plastic, so there's no spark risk while we work, and we carry pressurized water on every job. We cut fire breaks from February right through fire season, and spring dates fill up fast.
